SJU Map: Map of Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport
About San Juan Airport Layout
Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (IATA: SJU) is located in Carolina, Puerto Rico, about 3 miles (5 km) east of downtown San Juan. Unlike airports with separate, shuttle-connected buildings, SJU operates four terminals: A, B, C, and D. Housed within two connected structures, all reachable on foot after security, with no inter-terminal shuttle required.
Understanding which terminal your flight uses before you travel saves time at baggage claim, immigration, and pick-up zones, especially during peak tourist season (December through April) when the airport is at its busiest.
San Juan Airport Terminal A Map
Terminal A is the newest section of SJU, opened in 2012, and primarily serves JetBlue along with a growing number of other domestic and international carriers. It has its own dedicated ticketing area and security checkpoint, with gates numbered A1 through A8.
Pick-up note: Terminal A has a single arrivals level with a dedicated vehicle pick-up curb directly outside baggage claim, plus short-term parking across the street in the main garage.
San Juan Airport Terminal B Map
Terminal B is the main hub for full-service airlines at SJU, including American Airlines, Delta, United, and Southwest. It shares a central security checkpoint with Terminals C and D and offers the widest range of dining and shopping options in the airport.
Pick-up note: Terminal B's arrivals hall leads to a shared vehicle pick-up lane just outside baggage claim, with the main parking garage located directly across the access road.
San Juan Airport Terminal C Map
Terminal C connects directly to Terminal B and houses one of the largest concentrations of restaurants and food kiosks at SJU. It serves a mix of domestic and international flights and is reachable on foot from both Terminal B and Terminal D without leaving the secure area.
Pick-up note: Terminal C shares its arrivals and pick-up curb with Terminal B, with the same parking garage serving both concourses.
San Juan Airport Terminal D Map
Terminal D is the easternmost concourse at SJU, connected to Terminals B and C by covered walkways. It handles a mix of domestic and international departures and arrivals, with a walking time of about 15 minutes to the farthest gate at Terminal A.
Pick-up note: Terminal D's arrivals area feeds into the same shared pick-up loop used by Terminals B and C, with clearly marked lanes for private vehicles, taxis, and shuttle services.
